The Grove Food Crawl: Out Back at Backyard Kitchen + Brew

One epic food crawl with seven restaurants and one barber shop comes to a close with a final stop...


...at Backyard Kitchen + Brew, another tasty option at The Grove By Rockwell. And what a fitting end to an awesome food crawl at The Grove by Rockwell...

The Food Crawl at The Grove started early and after a taste of six dining establishments, the day's fading light reveals yet another side of The Grove by Rockwell, as Backyard Kitchen + Brew prepared for the dinner service with their inventive and comforting dishes.


Chef Ed Bugia transforms the comfortingly familiar with bold and inventive spins, offering new flavor experiences. And that's what you can expect at Backyard Kitchen + Brew, with innovative dishes like the Salted Egg Chicken Skin (P 225), with crisp chicken skin coated with salted egg yolk adding another layer of flavor and served with chili pineapple vinegar...


...and the Mac & Cheese Nachos (P 485), crisp nacho chips with mac & cheese, cheese sauce, bacon, homemade longanisa, jalapeno, sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole. It's a playful combination that works, with contrasting textures woven with distinct flavors coming together in a seamless blend.

Pair your starters with one of their signature Flavored Beers (P 165), available in Banana, Butterscotch, Caramel, Cherry, Coconut, Cucumber, Hazelnut, Kiwi, Lychee, Macadamia, Passion Fruit, Strawberry, and Watermelon; or go for the One Drinks (P 495), Backyard's signature margarita fish bowl.


And here's some pork love. Backyard Kitchen + Brew's newest dish, the Coffee-Crusted Baby Back Ribs (P 450/P 850) infuses the nutty notes of coffee to its slow-cooked, smoked and spiced baby back ribs, served with grilled corn-on-the-cob and potato salad. And just like the new starters, the flavors of the fall-off-the-bone ribs just comes together with the bold notes of the coffee adding depth to the savory richness of the ribs.
